2012 Summit Chairs

So exactly who organized the 2012 MBI Coaches Summit? Meet the three summit chairs who helped bring this event to life.

Alexis Robin, Chair

Alexis Robin is the Owner and CEO of Nourish Life and Business Coaching, a thriving west coast coaching practice focused on healing corporate America.  She left the corporate world in the middle of a recession to open her coaching practice and was financially solvent after just three months. An expert in leadership, sales and communication in the workplace, Alexis brings a professional, approachable style to her teaching and facilitation. Seventeen years in the corporate world, with Marriott, Hilton and Nordstrom have made her a strategic thinker who is combining Martha Beck coaching tools to improve the world at work. She is recognized by her clients as the coach that listens louder and delivers the unvarnished truth.

Alexis is in charge of the facilities, catering, and the high-level event details and design.

Gretchen Pisano, Co-Chair

Master Certified Coach, Gretchen Pisano is the founder and President of Sounding Board Ink, LLC, a global coaching and consulting practice focused on using the best visual and verbal techniques available to drive positive change in individuals, teams and organizations.  Gretchen is fluent in strategic thinking, leadership development and positive psychology.  In addition to seventeen years of business coaching and consulting, Gretchen has a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and is the author of the SBI Coaching Resource, Energy Rich Leadership Course, i2a Strategic Thinking system and most recently, the CoachFresh line of continuing education tools for coaches, therapists and facilitators.  In addition to running her practice Gretchen is an instructor for Martha Beck Inc. and the Business Learning Institute.  She lives in Frederick, Maryland with her husband, Michael, their three children (one is off to college and the other two not even in Kindergarten yet – how’s that for planning?), two massive dogs and one stray-to-stay cat, Lucy.  Gretchen’s personal mojo comes from helping other people strengthen their practice and make their thinking visible to the world.

Gretchen is in charge of the general event flow,  the Marketplace, and bringing together the spirit of the Integration Tracks.

Jessica Steward, Co-Chair

Master Certified Coach, Jessica Steward, helps her clients get out of their heads and into their gigs. She is an accomplished strategic thinker and a veritable idea factory. With 15 years of experience in the corporate world, Jessica combines her practical, business experience with a passion for helping people to begin happening to their own lives and businesses. With a direct and intuitive approach, she helps her clients reconnect with their authentic selves, banish painful beliefs, turn their seed of an idea into an actionable plan, and everything in between.  Jessica lives in Boston with her husband, her dog, two cats, and two ukuleles. The cats cannot play the ukuleles. Yet.

Jessica is in charge of marketing and communications for the event, as well as registration and the website.
